Now in its 22nd year, the Bath Christmas Markets 2024 takes place around Queen Square, nestled between iconic monuments. The annual artisan craft market has been trading in Taunton at Christmas for over 15 years and will return again this year, on Fore Street, in the town Centre near the Christmas tree. Christmas Market at Hestercombe

2024 dates: 9am-5pm, 15-17 November

Explore the bustling annual Hestercombe Christmas Market near Taunton. Featuring festive stalls bursting with locally-sourced gifts, delicious treats, and handcrafted items.

Warm up with festive food and drink, including crumbly mince pies, luxury hot chocolate, and mulled wine.

The Rural Living Show Taunton

2024 dates: 23-24 November

A firm favourite in the Somerset festive calendar, The Rural Living Show’s annual Christmas market will return to Kings Hall School, to raise vital funds for The Children’s Hospice South West.

Weston-super-Mare Christmas Lights switch-on

When? 23 November 2024

The eat:Weston Christmas food festival will take in the Italian Gardens on the same day as the festive lights switch-on, which has a brand new design for 2024.

Christmas Fayre at Cadbury House, Congresbury

27 November 2024, 5-8pm

Featuring over 30 local artisan stalls, visitors can shop for unique gifts like handmade jewellery, festive decor, and homemade treats. Enjoy hot dogs, mulled wine, and a visit from Father Christmas. Free entry. More info on Cadbury House winter artisan market

North Petherton Christmas Market, The Walnut Tree Hotel

29 November 2024, 4-8pm

Lots of your favourite stalls, plus a few fabulous newbies, food, drink and entertainment. More info

Christmas Market Weston Museum

2024 dates: 30 November-1 December, 10am-3pm

Get into the festive spirit at Weston Museum’s Christmas Market Weekend, offering an array of local artisan stalls, handmade crafts, and festive treats. Kids can enjoy a fun Christmas trail, searching through the galleries to help find Santa’s missing reindeer (just 50p from the front desk).

2024 Dates: 1 December, 10am-2pm

Held under the twinkly Christmas illuminations, expect Christmas market stalls and festive street food, traditional fete games for young children, late night shopping, live music from local choirs and bands, a VW Cruz parade and Father Christmas himself! More info

Uphill Village Christmas Bazaar 2024

7 December 2024

Uphill Village Society is holding its Christmas Bazaar at Uphill Village Victory Hall and you could walk away with a Christmas hamper at the end of it! A Posset Christmas Market 2024, Portishead High Street

8 December 2024, 2-6pm

Formerly known as the Portishead Victorian Evening and Craft Fayre, Portishead Christmas Lights now presents A Posset Christmas Market—the town’s largest street market event. The Cheese and Grain Christmas Gift Market, Frome

2024 dates: 9am-2pm, 30 November (Christmas Makers Market), 7 December, (Christmas Gift Market)

Frome Christmas Market 2024

1 December 2024, 10am-3pm

The Frome Independent Market on will transform the town centre into a bustling festive event. This monthly market, running from March to December, offers a mix of crafts, vintage items, designer products, local food, a farmers’ market section managed by Somerset Farmers’ Markets, along with street food and music.

Visitors are encouraged to use Park & Ride services as parking in town is limited and regulated. Additionally, the market supports accessibility, offering wheelchair-friendly shuttle buses and designated parking for Blue Badge holders. More info on Frome Xmas market.

Wells Christmas market 2024 dates: 14 December 2024, 9am to 3pm, Market Place and on the Bishop’s Palace Green

Frost Fayre Glastonbury

2024 dates: 12-6pm, 30 November

Celebrate peace and goodwill and enjoy late night shopping and stalls in Glastonbury town centre on the last Saturday in November. Musicians and street performers will be infusing this festive event with the special brand of Glastonbury magic, kids can enjoy fairground rides and crafts while the Christmas tree lights are officially switched on in Market Square.

South Somerset Christmas Market 2024

Ilminster Christmas lights 2024 and Christmas Market

22 November 2024

Ilminster’s Christmas Light Switch-On takes place on North Street from Ile Court and East Street from Frog Lane. Expect late-night shopping, festive food, and entertainment. Starting at lunchtime, five school choirs will perform, followed by a Christmas Fayre at Isle Youth Centre from 3.30-8pm.

Streets close at 4pm for a lantern parade featuring Santa in his sleigh which starts at 6.20pm. The lights will be switched on at 7pm, with live music and activities continuing into the evening. More info on Ilminster Market

Christmas Fair, Low Ham Church in the field, Langport

2024 dates: 23 November, 11am-3pm

A unique setting for a Christmas Fair at the beautiful Low Ham Church in the Field, this local Christmas fair features local crafters and traders and the chance to pick up a hot tea, coffee and mince pie. Handcrafted cards, jewellery, bags and purses, jams, candles, wood turned items, pottery.
